You can get through a full run of the game in around three or four hours, but it means you'll inevitably leave plot-threads dangling and lots of relationships at a halfway point when you hit credits. You're constantly making choices-and every choice takes time-as the game progresses, even the clothes you wear to an encounter can alter how people react to you and the dialogue options you have during it, and Failbetter clearly wants you to go through them again and again to see the impacts your choices can have. We’re offering keys for PC, Mac and Linux in the Kickstarter, but Mask of the Rose will be coming to consoles as well.It's richly textured and a pleasure to delve into, but your ability to do so is constrained by just how limited your time is in Mask of the Rose's London.

In one playthrough of Mask of the Rose you might untangle a poisoner's motives uncover the fate of poor, drowned Parliament or help establish the new Feast of the Rose, a festival that will be celebrated in London for decades to come! But above all, Mask of the Rose is a story about love, in its many forms. It takes place in Victorian London, not long after the city was carried away by bats. Mask of the Rose is a romantic visual novel set in the same universe as our award-winning games Fallen London, Sunless Sea, and Sunless Skies.
